Intensive Courses in German preparing for University or Professional Training
The intensive course is designed for all those who want to take up university studies or begin a professional training program in Germany.
Course Organization
The course comprises four modules:
Module 1
B2.1
(6 weeks, 6 teaching hours per day)
The course is suited for advanced students who have completed the basic level with the B1 Level Certificate if possible, or have an equivalent command of German. The course imparts linguistic knowledge and proficiencies – vocabulary, grammar, listening and reading comprehension as well as oral and written skills – of German as a Foreign/Second Language according to the B2/1 level. Subsequently, the intermediate course at the B2.2 level can be taken.
Module 2
B2.2
(6 weeks, 6 teaching hours per day)
The course prepares for the internationally recognized Exam telc German B2. This exam certifies your linguistic proficiency according to the Common European Reference Framework. At the end of level B2 you will be able to communicate spontaneously and fluently in German so that a conversation with native speakers will be quite possible. In familiar situations, you are able to take actively part in a discussion, and you will explain and defend your point of view. You are able to follow more complex utterances and lectures if the topics are largely familiar to you. You are able to write clear and detailed texts on a variety of subjects which are of interest to you (letters, reports or essays, e.g.), and you will put forward arguments in favour of, or against a case.
Module 3
C1.1
(6 weeks, 6 teaching hours per day)
The course is intended for advanced learners who have received the B2 Certificate, or have an equivalent command of the language. The course imparts knowledge and proficiencies – vocabulary, grammar, listening and reading comprehension as well as oral and written skills – of German as a Foreign/Second Language. Subsequently, the C1.2 course level can be taken.
Module 4
C1.2 preparing for the TestDaF Exam
(6 weeks, 6 teaching hours per day)
At the end of level C1 you will command a wide range of linguistic tools. You are able to express yourself spontaneously and fluently, and you will precisely articulate your opinion. In social and professional life, you will make effective and flexible use of the language; you are able to describe in detail facts, and to connect the main points of a given topic. You will understand without much difficulty more complex utterances as well as television programs and feature films. Likewise, you are able to understand longer technical instructions. In letters, essays and reports, you will express yourself clearly and distinctly, and choose the appropriate style. The course prepares for the TestDaF Exam.
